2020: Ushering the Year of the Rat

It's been awhile. Have you heard this before?

I tell myself this every.year.

I tell myself that I'm going to get my act together and I'm going to start blogging again. But miraculously, you guessed it, it never happens.

But anyway, I am no longer making any more New Year's Resolution and I'm just going to be relying on intuition to blog and post.

What have I been up to lately you may ask?

A lot.

A lot of things have changed since I was last active on here. For example, I used to blog a lot in 2013 and then I moved to England in 2013 and after that my blogging has been very slow, bordering non-existent.

I have since posted a summary of what I had been up to in the past few years but since it's 2020. I think another catch up is necessary.

So, since graduation in 2018. I got a new job in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, which I then left in 2019 for another job and now it's 2020 and it's the start of a new decade and to be very honest, it's also really daunting knowing that we have literally just past an end of an era, really.

So much has changed. I woke up today and found out that Kobe Bryant and his daughter, Gianna, just passed on and eventhough I'm really not a basketball fan, he was a legend. Everyone knows that his name is synonymous with the NBAs alongside Michael Jordan and the rest. Yes, it's sad. It really is an end of an era. May they rest in peace.

This year, has given me a lot of time to ponder on what have been and what is to be. I am excited for 2020. Although, I am still looking to move out of the country. I don't see myself living in Malaysia for the rest of my life, that's for sure. I am looking onto new horizons and am hoping that this year, I will see new beginnings.

2019 was pretty bad, I must say, all things considered. The company I work for is absolute bonkers, it's my personal blog, not associated with my real name, so, I'm going to withhold information about my place of work. But anyway, work has been absolute shit, not to mention the people, they've been nothing short of terrible, although I must say, there were quite a number of amazing ones as well. You know, a whole company can't be shitty, or at least I would love to think that. But yes, it hasn't been a good year. From having my annual leaves withhold and restrained to being bullied at a work place and this is the first time in my entire 26 years of living, to have experience bullies in the work environment.

I have been working since I was 17/18 and it's been about 10 years since I have been working and this is by far the worst.

Looking onto the positive highlights of 2019:
1. I went to Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam
2. I went to Delhi, India
3. I went to Krabi, Thailand

2020 has started with a change in department and 2019 also saw a lot of new cafes that I have been to and yeah, had a good treat with really nice meals.

I haven't quite figured out what I want to do in 2020 but the first month of January is ending, and I will have to think about better content throughout the year.

Till' my next post. xx
