Ramadan and Weight Loss Update
Phew, feels like ages since I last updated my progress (approximately 2 weeks).
The last I mentioned, I was at 57.6kg. This time however, I weighed myself and I should be around 56.9kg. I say should be because I'm experiencing bloatedness, I'm trying to reduce the bloatedness by drinking more water, tea and finally(!) I have been able to exercise again. Even though my workouts are not intense, but they're the low impact walks that is helping me with my weight loss. This time around I'm a little more calm in my weight loss journey because I'm doing it as a lifestyle change. Believe it or not, I have only had dessert and latte once and frozen yoghurt once. Those are about the most unhealthy things I've consumed, which is a huge deal since I'm afraid I might gain a few kilos. My hopes are that I could get down to 54kg by the 23rd of March 2024.
This is my 6th week of my lifestyle change and I would say going down from 60.4kg to 56.9kg (-3.5kg) is not a bad weight change altogether. Do I wish I could speed up the process? Sure, but overall, I'm thinking if I stick to this journey I may get myself to lose more by just eating healthily. If I get to 53kg by the 8th of May, I'll be happy, I'm not going to torture myself to lose a whole load of weight through very stressful regime.
It has never worked for me, mainly because my body reacts adversely to high cortisol levels, so, this is just my chill workout journey and I will check in on the 24th of March 2024 with an update on my weight. I'm headed to the gym right now for a workout, nothing too intense, probably just a 3km walk, but I might go outdoors for a walk after because I've mainly been staying at home. So, that would be a nice change for me since I will probably walk around the park and then probably head to a mall before I go back home.
